“They were able to get all my ideas and work with me over a period of three to four months and create this amazing website. It's super customized, very modern, and it incorporates all the elements that I had wanted — the patient portal, nice pictures, a very interactive website, patient reviews. I would highly recommend their company to anyone who wants to make an excellent website.”

Key takeaways for practice owners

What these numbers mean for your IV therapy clinic

  • Weekend hours are the norm, so they are not your edge. 65% of IV therapy clinics list weekend hours, second only to med spas among the 9 specialties we studied, and the average clinic is open 5.5 days a week. Compete on booking speed and how clearly you explain the visit.
  • Reviews are the gap. The median clinic has 52 Google reviews and 48.4% have fewer than 50. A clinic with 200 or more reviews sits in roughly the top 18.2% nationally.
  • Your website link is easy to fix. 5.9% of IV clinics have no website linked on Google, the highest share of the 9 specialties. If patients cannot click through to a page that explains the service, staff and safety steps, they will book elsewhere.
  • Unsourced health claims are the norm, and the risk. In the 2025 JAMA Internal Medicine study, every website reviewed made benefit claims but only 0.8% cited a source, and the FTC has acted against an IV therapy marketer before. Describe what happens at a visit and who supervises it; do not promise outcomes.
  • Show your medical oversight. Only 27.6% of spas in the secret-shopper study required a consultation with a licensed professional first. If yours does, say so on Google, your site and your ads: it answers the safety question many first-time patients have.

Methodology & how to cite

Where the numbers come from

  • Our Google study (29 statistics). Public Google Business Profile data for 1,535 US IV therapy and wellness clinics across 20 metros, collected in September 2026, part of a 9,452-practice study of 9 specialties. Ratings are simple averages; review counts are medians; shares are percentages of practices in the sample. Weekend and days-open figures come from the hours listed on each profile.
  • Publishing rules. Aggregates only. No practice is named, no review text is quoted, and no city with fewer than 10 practices in the sample is reported. Derived figures (sums, ratios, ranks) are calculated from the published averages and say so in the method line.
  • External statistics (10). Quoted from the primary source linked under each figure (federal agencies, professional bodies, peer-reviewed journals and surveys that publish their method). Each keeps its own year; we did not adjust or project them.
  • What we do not publish here. Treatment benefits, patient prices, US advertising costs or market-size estimates. We do not make medical claims, and we found no government or peer-reviewed count of US IV therapy businesses to quote.

FAQ

Common questions

How many Google reviews does an IV therapy clinic have?

The median US IV therapy and wellness clinic has 52 Google reviews; 48.4% have fewer than 50 and 4.6% have 500 or more. City medians run from 23 in Philadelphia to 93.5 in Houston (1,535 clinics, 20 metros, September 2026).

Are IV hydration clinics regulated?

It depends on the state. A 2025 JAMA Internal Medicine study found 32 states had issued some IV hydration spa guidance, but only 4 state policies addressed governance, prescriber credentials, dispensing and compounding together. Check your state medical and nursing board and pharmacy rules.

What can an IV therapy clinic say in its ads?

What is the average Google rating for an IV therapy clinic?
