How to set a realistic review target
- Find your local bar. Use your city's typical count above, or check the three med spas that appear next to you on the map.
- Work out the gap. If you have 60 reviews in a city where the typical profile has 200, that's your gap.
- Divide by months, not days. A steady pace beats a burst. The median med spa gets about 6 new reviews a month; see review velocity.
- Ask every happy client, every time. A one-tap link by text (with consent) or a QR code at checkout.
- Stay within the rules. No undisclosed incentives and no reviews from staff or family, under the FTC's rule on consumer reviews.

Is it better to have more reviews or a higher rating?
Both matter, but ratings barely differ between med spas (almost all are near 4.9), while review counts differ enormously. A steady flow of recent reviews is usually the bigger opportunity.
