Boston (20 med spas studied)
Boston med spas have deep profiles (typical 244.5 reviews) and only 5% have fewer than 50. 90% open a weekend day, tied for the highest in the study. The average rating is 4.89 stars. Competing here means matching a high baseline on every visible signal.
Philadelphia (20 med spas studied)
Philadelphia looks similar to Boston: a typical profile of 195 reviews, 90% open a weekend day and an average rating of 4.88 stars. Only 5% have 500 or more reviews, so the very top of the market is less crowded than the middle.
Washington DC (20 med spas studied)
Washington DC med spas are among the highest rated in the study (4.92★), but the typical profile has only 102.5 reviews, below the national 148. 75% sit in the 50 to 199 band. That makes review pace the clearest lever for a DC med spa.
