How complete are med spa Google profiles? The basics are solved; the content isn't
Nearly every US med spa in our sample lists a website, phone number and hours on Google. Where profiles fall short is the deeper content that tells patients, search engines and AI assistants what the business actually offers. This is part of our study of 555 US med spas; the deeper profile details come from 86 early-look profiles.
- 99.3% list a phone number, 98.9% list hours and 98.4% link a website (n = 555).
- About 25.8% are not open on any weekend day.
- Med spas are open an average of 5.6 days a week; early-look profiles list about 6.3 attributes (payment, accessibility).
- The opportunity is content depth: descriptions, full service lists and regular posts.
- Every practice welcome — retainers from $499/mo, Goals-Driven engagements, Performance-Linked Payout Models available.

“They were able to get all my ideas and work with me over a period of three to four months and create this amazing website. It's super customized, very modern, and it incorporates all the elements that I had wanted — the patient portal, nice pictures, a very interactive website, patient reviews. I would highly recommend their company to anyone who wants to make an excellent website.”
The basics are nearly universal
Short answer: almost every med spa lists a phone, hours, website and extra categories. The floor is solved.
Phone, hours, website and weekend opening: n = 555. Secondary categories and attributes: n = 86 early-look records. Average opening spread: 5.6 days a week. Average number of profile attributes (such as payment and accessibility options): 6.3.
Two things worth a second look
- Weekend access. About 25.8% of med spas are not open on any weekend day. Many clients book around a working week, so even one weekend day can widen the pool of people who can come in.
- Specific categories. Every profile has at least one secondary category, but categories that name specific services (for example laser hair removal or skin care) help Google match more specific searches. Check that your categories reflect what you actually offer.
The real gap: content depth
Short answer: structurally, these profiles are complete. What is often thin is the content that explains what the business does.
- Description: a clear, specific summary of your treatments, team and location, written for patients rather than keyword lists.
- Services list: every treatment you offer, named the way patients search for it.
- Google Posts: regular updates on treatments, availability and events.
- Photos: the real space and team, kept current.
Search engines and AI assistants read this content to understand what a business offers, so it shapes whether a med spa appears for specific treatment searches. Start with your listings across the web: our med spa citation list.
Method: phone, hours, website and weekend opening from the full study (555 US med spas across 20 metros, September 2026). Secondary categories and attributes from 86 early-look records (Google Places API). Description length, service-list depth and post frequency were not measured numerically. Common questions
What percentage of med spas have a complete Google profile?
For the basics, nearly all. Across the 555 med spas in our study, 99.3% listed a phone number, 98.9% listed hours and 98.4% linked a website. In the 86 early-look records checked for categories, every profile had at least one secondary category. Deeper content such as descriptions and service lists was not measured numerically in this cut.
Are med spas open on weekends?
Most are: 74.2% were open at least one weekend day. About 25.8% were closed all weekend, and the average spa was open 5.6 days a week.
What should a med spa add to its Google profile?
A clear, specific description of the treatments offered, a complete services list, specific secondary categories that match the services, accurate attributes such as payment and accessibility options, regular Google Posts and real photos of the space and team.
Why does profile content matter for AI search?
Search engines and AI assistants rely on the information businesses publish to understand what they offer. Profiles that describe specific treatments clearly give them more to match against specific searches, such as a particular skin treatment near a location.
