How competitive is medical marketing in Miami?
It depends on the specialty. Miami is the deepest plastic surgery market we measured: the median practice has 295 Google reviews, 2.8 times the national figure, in our 2026 benchmark of 481 Miami practices. Dental and chiropractic profiles, by contrast, sit below national norms. And Miami has the most expensive IVF clicks in our tables.
- Plastic surgery: median 295 reviews, 35.6% with 500+, deepest of 20 metros.
- Overall review-depth index 1.21, 5th of 20 metros.
- Dental (262) and chiropractic (94) sit below their national medians.
- IVF: about $28.40 a click and $980 per new consultation, the highest of 16 metros (planning estimates).

“They were able to get all my ideas and work with me over a period of three to four months and create this amazing website. It's super customized, very modern, and it incorporates all the elements that I had wanted — the patient portal, nice pictures, a very interactive website, patient reviews. I would highly recommend their company to anyone who wants to make an excellent website.”
The deepest plastic surgery market in the country
Miami's reputation as an aesthetic destination shows up plainly in Google data. In our 2026 benchmark, the median Miami plastic surgery practice has 295 Google reviews. The next-deepest metro, Houston, has 151; the national median is 107. 35.6% of Miami practices have 500 or more reviews and only 5.1% have fewer than 50.

Miami plastic surgery practices are also open more: 39% list a weekend day, against 14.5% nationally. Their average rating, 4.71, is close to the national 4.74, so competition is about volume and visibility rather than stars.
In practical terms, a newer Miami surgical practice that collects 20 reviews a month, a strong pace for a practice of any size, would need about 15 months just to reach the local median, and the established practices keep adding reviews in the meantime. That is our arithmetic, not a measured figure, but it shows why a newer Miami surgeon usually needs paid search, social content and a narrow procedure focus rather than trying to out-review the market in the first years.
Aesthetic Miami and clinical Miami
Miami's overall review-depth index is 1.21, 5th of 20 metros, but that average blends two different markets. Cash-pay aesthetic and wellness care is mostly deep; everyday clinical care sits at or below the national norm.

On the aesthetic side, Miami med spas have a median of 217.5 reviews (national 148) and 91.3% of IV therapy and wellness clinics list weekend hours, the highest share of any metro. On the clinical side, dental practices have a median of 262 reviews against 319.5 nationally, and chiropractors 94 against 125, with a lower-than-average 4.69-star rating. Hair restoration is the aesthetic exception, with a median of 19.5 reviews against 33 nationally. A Miami dentist or chiropractor faces a very different review barrier from a Miami plastic surgeon.
Click costs, and the IVF outlier
For most categories, Miami click costs sit in the middle of our metro tables. Our 2026 planning estimates put general dentistry at about $11.60 a click (the 8th most expensive of 20 metros), cosmetic dentistry at $36.90, medical dermatology at $9.20 and cosmetic dermatology at $25.80.
Fertility is the exception. Florida has no law requiring insurers to cover IVF, so many patients pay cash and shop on price, packages and financing. Miami IVF clicks are about $28.40 and a new patient consultation about $980, the highest of 16 metros in the fertility benchmark. In Denver, where Colorado requires large-group plans to cover IVF, the same consultation is about $310. A Miami fertility clinic needs pricing pages, financing options and fast follow-up to make those clicks pay.
What this means for your practice
- Know which Miami you are in. Aesthetic practices face the country's deepest review profiles; clinical practices face a field at or below the national norm.
- Aesthetic practices: specialize visibly. With hundreds of reviews on competing profiles, a clear procedure focus and strong before-and-after content (within Florida rules) does more than generic ads.
- Clinical practices: build reviews now. Dental and chiropractic profiles sit below national medians, so a steady routine moves you up faster here.
- Match weekend expectations in med spa, IV therapy and plastic surgery, and keep Google hours accurate.
- Fertility clinics: sell clarity. Publish packages and financing, and answer enquiries fast, because each Miami IVF click is the most expensive in our tables.

Common questions
Is Miami a competitive market for plastic surgery marketing?
Yes, the most competitive of the 20 US metros we measured on Google reviews. The median Miami plastic surgery practice has 295 Google reviews against 107 nationally, and 35.6% have 500 or more. Houston, the next deepest, has a median of 151.
How competitive is dental marketing in Miami?
Less than its aesthetic market. The median Miami dental practice in our 2026 study has 262 Google reviews, below the national 319.5, with an average rating of 4.85. Our planning estimate for a general-dentistry click is $11.60, the 8th most expensive of 20 metros.
Why is IVF advertising so expensive in Miami?
Florida has no law requiring insurers to cover IVF, so many patients pay cash and compare clinics on price and packages, which drives bidding. Our 2026 planning estimates put Miami IVF clicks at $28.40 and a new consultation at $980, the highest of 16 metros.
Are Miami med spas and IV clinics open on weekends?
Mostly, yes. In our benchmark, 91.3% of Miami IV therapy and wellness clinics list a weekend day, the highest of 20 metros, and 80% of med spas do. Weekend hours are expected in Miami aesthetics.
What should a new aesthetic practice in Miami focus on first?
Review depth and differentiation. Miami aesthetic profiles are deep and ratings are high, so a new practice needs a steady review program, a clear specialty focus and paid search or social ads to be seen while its profile grows.
