What is a healthcare landing page, and what should it include?
A healthcare landing page is a single-purpose web page built for one service and one action, usually booking a consultation or making an enquiry, that visitors reach from an ad, email or social post. It should include a headline that matches the ad, a plain description of the service, the doctors with qualifications and registration, location and timings, call, WhatsApp and short-form options, FAQs, consent wording and fast mobile loading. In India it must also respect the NMC's 2026 advertising rules.
Landing page vs homepage vs service page
| Page | Purpose | Navigation | Typical traffic |
|---|---|---|---|
| Homepage | Introduce the whole clinic or hospital | Full menu | Brand searches, direct visits |
| Service page | Explain one service in depth for search | Full menu | Organic search |
| Landing page | Convert visitors from a campaign into enquiries | Minimal or none | Google Ads, Meta ads, email, WhatsApp campaigns |
Sending paid traffic to a homepage forces visitors to hunt for what the ad promised. A landing page removes that friction. It focuses on one service, one audience and one next step.
What a healthcare landing page should include
- Headline that matches the ad. If the ad mentions knee replacement consultations in Pune, the headline should say the same.
- Plain service description. What the service is, who it is for, what happens at the first visit, and what patients should bring.
- Doctor profiles. Names, photos, qualifications, registration numbers and experience, stated factually.
- Facility information. Equipment, accreditation, departments and photos of the actual premises.
- Location and timings. Address, map, parking, OPD hours and branch options.
- Contact options. A tap-to-call button, a WhatsApp button and a short form, visible without scrolling on mobile.
- Charges, where you publish them. The NMC's 2026 guidelines allow factual information on charges.
- FAQs. The questions your front desk hears most, answered briefly.
- Consent and privacy. A clear statement of how contact details will be used, a consent checkbox for follow-up messages and a link to the privacy policy, in line with the DPDP Act, 2023.
- Tracking. Conversion tracking for calls, forms and WhatsApp clicks, set up in GA4 and the ad platforms.
What to leave out
The National Medical Commission's guidelines of 6 October 2026 shape what a healthcare landing page in India can say:
- No patient testimonials, success stories or before-and-after images.
- No inducements such as discounts, free consultations or limited-time offers.
- No superiority claims such as "best" or "No. 1" unless independently verifiable.
- No guarantees of outcomes.
Google Ads and Meta also apply their own healthcare policies, and pages that break them can cause ads to be disapproved. Keep claims factual and educational. This page explains marketing practice, not legal advice; check borderline wording with your compliance team.
Design and speed
Most healthcare ad traffic in India arrives on mobile phones, often on variable connections. Keep the page light: compressed images, minimal scripts and no heavy sliders. Put the headline, a one-line summary and the contact buttons in the first screen. Use large, readable text and buttons that are easy to tap. Remove the main menu and outbound links that pull visitors away from the next step.
Building trust without testimonials
Many clinics worry that a landing page without patient stories will not convert. In practice, other elements carry trust well. Real photos of the doctors and premises, rather than stock images, show the clinic is genuine. A short video of the doctor explaining what happens at the first consultation answers the questions that stop people from booking. Clear statements of qualifications, registration, years in practice and hospital affiliations give patients facts they can check. A visible address, map and landline number signal permanence. Simple explanations of what to expect, how long the visit takes and what to bring reduce anxiety. Together these do the job testimonials used to do, while staying within the rules.
Form or WhatsApp?
Many Indian patients prefer to start on WhatsApp rather than fill in a form. Others prefer to call. Offer all three, but measure which brings qualified enquiries for each service. Our analysis of WhatsApp vs form-fill lead capture covers the trade-offs. Keep forms short: name, phone, service and preferred location are usually enough. Every extra field reduces submissions, though a single qualifying question can improve lead quality.
Tracking and testing
A landing page is only as useful as the data it produces. Set up conversion tracking for form submissions, call clicks and WhatsApp clicks, and pass those conversions to Google Ads and Meta so their bidding learns from real enquiries. Our GA4 setup service covers this. Then test one change at a time, such as headline, form length or button order, and judge the result on qualified leads, not just clicks.
One page per service and location
A multi-specialty hospital should not send every ad to one generic page. Build separate landing pages for each major service and, where relevant, each branch. That keeps the headline aligned with the ad, improves Google Ads quality, and lets you see which services convert. Pair the landing pages with campaigns managed by a healthcare Google Ads team, and build them on a fast, well-structured site from a healthcare website developer.
